CAMP AFGHANISTAN

Partnering Since 2019

Investing in children’s well being and creating opportunities to advance children’ development is our mission. Thus CWB is proud to partner with Camp Afghanistan. Camp Afghanistan's number one priority is to give a chance to children of the most isolated communities in Afghanistan an opportunity to experience a once in a lifetime learning adventure.

The one-week camp works with children of 14-18 years old. The activities are divided into two sections: academic and extracurricular.

In academic sessions, campers will learn how to search, find, and apply for national and international scholarship opportunities. This includes working on applications for short term programs such as summer camps, seminars, volunteering opportunities, as well as long term programs such as undergraduate scholarships.

To be eligible, students from various schools in Ghazni will take a placement test and be interviewed. Only 30 will be selected as finalists. The camp will be taking place at Lincoln Learning Centre Ghazni.

Extracurricular activities will prepare students to become active Camp alumni in their societies. We help children develop their own volunteer community service projects - enhancing their leadership skills while helping their local communities thrive. This may include projects such as literacy and English language courses, awareness projects on women's rights, civic engagement, book clubs and more.
